This Privacy Policy explains how Nakata Dojo, LLC ("we," "us"), operator of the Shito Kai Murayama instructor platform and mobile app (the "Service"), handles information. The Service is provided to authorized instructors of Shito Kai Murayama. It is not a public service and does not create accounts for the general public.

Information we collect

• Account information you provide or that the dojo issues to you: your name, email address, and phone number.
• Authentication data needed to keep your account secure.
• Device and notification data: if you enable notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can deliver the alerts you opt into.
• Usage and log data: basic technical information such as actions taken in the app and error logs, used to operate and improve the Service.
• Dojo records: as an instructor, you may view and enter records about students and classes (for example progress, assessments, and attendance) as part of running the dojo. This information belongs to the dojo and is handled on its behalf.

How we use information

• To provide and secure the Service and your account.
• To send notifications you have chosen to receive. Every notification category can be turned on or off, and you can set quiet hours. You may disable notifications at any time in the app or in your device settings.
• To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed to do so:

• Cloud hosting and database providers that run the platform.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, to deliver push notifications.
• An email provider, to send transactional email such as account and password messages.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet our legal and operational obligations. Push tokens are removed when they become invalid or when you sign out or disable notifications.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.

Children's information

The app is intended for adult instructors. Records about students, some of whom may be minors, are entered and managed by the dojo and its instructors as part of running the dojo. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the app. Parents or guardians with questions about a student's information may contact us using the details below.

Your choices

You can review or update your account information in the app, control which notifications you receive, and request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
